Kohima, June 9 (MExN): The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Nagaland has issued a press release “to clarify and end the confusion of pig diseases, especially African Swine Fever, Classical Swine Fever and Swine Flu.”
The AH&VS department in a press release issued through the DIPR stated that of late, with the occurrence of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the State, clarity on various pig diseases appears to be lacking amongst the public. “This is being issued to enable the public and piggery farmers to take the necessary precautionary measure from the pigs as well as from a zoonotic point of view,” the department stated.
