Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya today said the Nagaland Backward Tribes Commission Bill, 2016 to establish a Commission for backward tribes in the state to safeguard the rights of the backward tribes will be tabled during the current session. Further, the Governor informed that the Department of Public Health Engineering will provide drinking water to 92 habitations and water treatment units to 32 habitations having water quality problems. Roof top rain water harvesting structures in 15 habitations, rejuvenation of traditional wells in 75 habitations, solar powered water supply in 2 habitations and surface water supply have been taken up under National Rural drinking Water Programme.
