Dimapur, November 9 (MExN): The 3rd elite men's national boxing championship was held at Army Sports Institute, Pune, Maharashtra from October 27 to November 2, hosted by the services.
Nagaland state participated in the championship in ten weight categories and bagged one bronze medal through Govind kumar in the Light flyweight (49 kg) weight category and set the state team qualification for the upcoming national games which is to be held at Goa from March 30 to April 14. The team was led by three coaches Bendangmoa, Ralyaveio and Pradeep Sunar.
