
PEREN, MARCH 20 (MExN): The 14th General Conference of the Nagaland Baptist Pastors Union (NBPU) took place at the Peren Town Baptist Church (ZBCC) from March 18 to 20. The event coincided with the Colors of ZBCC, organized by Pastor Kangbow, which was held at Tepuiki River on March 19.
Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Hiazu, welcomed the visiting dignitaries and pastors from across Nagaland. In his address, he acknowledged that while the district may lack certain amenities, it is a pioneering town for the Zeliang community and expressed warm hospitality for the guests.
Hiazu also expressed appreciation for the support from the President of the Nagaland Baptist Pastors Union and its office bearers, urging the pastors to continue fostering unity among Naga communities.
Rev Dr Mongzeung Mpom, President of ZBCC and Director of Kingdom Leadership, addressed the conference, highlighting the challenges faced by pastors and encouraging them to properly guide their church members through the teachings of God's word. The Beisumpuikam Baptist Church Choir also performed a song titled "Brighten Our Land" during the event. The conference was chaired by Heikwetgong Putlang, President of the Baptist Pastor's Fellowship.
