Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): The District Touring Program of Nagaland State BJP President, Benjamin Yepthomi and his team of state office bearers which kicked off at Mon on October 28 had culminated on November 17 in a reception organised by BJP Dimapur district in Hotel Saramati.
The BJP Nagaland media officer in a press released said, “it is the first time in the history of BJP Nagaland that a State President has extensively toured all the districts to reach out to the people of the State.”
Within a span of 23 days, Yepthomi extensively toured Mon, Aboi, Longleng, Tuensang, Noklak, Shamator, Kiphire, Meluri, Phek, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Wokha, Kohima, Jalukie, Tening and Dimapur. In all these places, the President and his team had held a series of intensive meetings with the District Office Bearers, Mandals, Morchas and Booth Level officials, it stated.
In his address at the culmination programme, the State President stated that the need for such an 'Extensive District Touring' was initiated as to know and identify the ground realities and to understand the grievances of all the 16 districts, all the 60 Mandals and Booth Levels while reaching out to the grassroot people, adding further, “A time has come for us to work with all sincerity and commitment to uphold the Bharatiya Janata Party from the grassroot level to the State level as our top priority,” he asserted.
The State President also called upon all the karyakartas to extend full cooperation to the respective district presidents so as to work cohesively for the positive growth and progress of the Party. He also emphasised that the Morcha heads and Mandal touring program has to follow suit at the earliest so as to complete all the 2398 booth level committees by the end of December by all means.
