
Kohima, August 9 (MExN): Nagaland state BJP president and minister for higher & technical education and tribal affairs Temjen Imna Along mourned the demise of Sushma Swaraj, former External Affairs Minister and senior BJP stalwart, who passed away of cardiac arrest on the evening of August 6 at AIIMS in New Delhi. In condolence message, Along stated that Sushma has had an illustrious career as a prolific parliamentarian who devoted her entire life to public service, championing the cause of the poor, for which she was revered and admired by one and all, cutting across party lines. “She was an uncompromising soul, and a force to reckon with, when it come to matters of ideology and principles of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” Along stated. In her passing, Along stated, the BJP party has loss one of its finest leader, and the void left by her shall become an all too impossible task to fill again.
