Nagaland Board Exams: CM Rio wishes students

The board exams conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) will kick off from Tuesday with the commencement of the HSSLC Examination 2019 and Class XI promotion exams from February 12. The exams will end on March 4 and 5 respectively. The HSLC Examination 2019 (Class X) will be held from February 13 till 25.


Earlier, the NBSE has announced that a total of 56,036 students will be appearing for HSSLC, HSLC and Class XI promotion Examinations 2019. Of these, 15820 candidates (Arts-11860, Commerce-1319, Science-2641) enrolled for HSSLC exam will be appearing from 54 provisional examination centres. In Arts stream, regular candidates from 154 institutions are enrolled whereas in commerce and science stream, the candidates are from 32 and 41 institutions respectively.


A total of 17027 students will also be appearing for the Class XI Promotion Examination 2019. In HSLC Examination, there are 23189 candidates out of which, 11175 boys and 12014 girls, will be appearing for the examination from 79 provisional examination centres and 2 sub centres.


Meanwhile, the State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to micro blogging site Twitter on Monday to wish luck to the students.


‘My best wishes to the students in Nagaland appearing for Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate HSSLC exam & Class XI Promotion Exam 2019 under NBSE which begins tomorrow’ Rio Tweeted. “A total of 15820 & 17027 will appear for HSSLC & Class XI Promotion Exam, respectively,” he added.
