“The greatest loss in the society today would be losing our good values and character,” said Rokolhou Angami, Director Naagaamü Infratech Pvt. Ltd.

Gracing the 59th annual sports meet of Rüzaphema Youth Organisation (RYO) on January 4 at Rüzaphema village as the special guest, Angami observed that many youths are going off track which he attributed it to ‘losing of the good values.’

‘The things we are reveling today are the blessings passed down by our forefathers,’ he maintained and reminded the youth to never forget the good deeds of its elders and forefathers.

Emphasising that good character is the embodiment of a person’s beliefs and values, Angami posited ‘what kind of footprints would you leave behind when you leave this world?’ adding that the footprints a person leaves behind will speak for itself for posterity.

Towards this end, he also advised the youth to take wise decision today, which will impact their future as the decision taken today would either be a ‘make it or break it.’ He further reminded that the decision would not only impact their future but the future of their posterity too.

Sports, he said is the shortest way to fame which also take years to be a sportsperson. However, he pointed out that one must be discipline and take good care of one’s health to be a sportsperson. Urging the youth of the village, he said that this is the right time to hone one’s skill and talent in the field of sports.

The four-day sports meet includes football, volleyball and other athletic games for both senior and junior category.
