KOHIMA, JUNE 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Department of Industries and Commerce has clarified that applications under the PM Vishwakarma and Udyam Registration schemes are entirely free of cost, as per the official guidelines of the respective government programmes.
In a press release issued on Monday, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, stated that the department has received reports of certain private individuals and entities offering assistance to applicants of PM Vishwakarma, Udyam Registration and other MSME-related schemes, and in some cases, charging fees for their services.
“While beneficiaries are free to avail such third-party services at their own discretion, no fee is to be charged or collected in the name of the Government for submission of applications under PM Vishwakarma or Udyam Registration,” the statement said.
The department has urged the public to remain vigilant against any unauthorized collection of fees and to report such instances to the nearest District Industries Centre. For queries or grievances, citizens can also contact the department helpline at 84130 78294.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, the department assured that eligible citizens will be able to access the schemes without any financial burden.
