Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): Nagaland BJP units celebrated three years of NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi across different districts.
Kiphire: BSNL Nagaland SSA, NE II circle in collaboration with BJP State Morcha and BJP Kiphire district celebrated the programme – Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelen – at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire on June 15.
Sedevikho Khro, Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, who was the chief guest, thanked the Modi led BJP Government in India for the rapid development and introduction of various government schemes for the welfare of the public. He committed on his part as an administrator to execute the available projects and schemes to the public.
Er. Senkathung, Vice President BJP, the guest speaker, apprised of the prospects and achievements of the party during the last three years and also encouraged the gathering to be aware of various government facilities provided by the BJP led central Government.
Wokha: In Wokha, the event was observed at Wokha Town Hall with Dr. TM Lotha as the chief guest. Lotha said that BJP government at the centre is determined to establish itself in Nagaland in the coming general election in 2018. “Very determined to stop the shocking corruption culture in the state, the leaders have even met the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and are working together to make the Clean Election Successful,” he said.
Lotha mentioned how the BJP government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2003 cancelled the Rs. 365 Crore deficit incurred by Nagaland government and also granted another special package for further necessary development to the tune of Rs. 1050 Crore. “Nagaland will be developed at God speed once the BJP takes over,” Lotha asserted, while challenging the public to get on board the party so that every citizen will be able to enjoy the fruit of development in all spheres. “God fearing people should join the party in order to bring the much needed change in the state.”
At a press conference held after the meeting, Lotha said that Nagaland as a State does not have any problem with the “beef issue” as the meat itself is a delicacy and a food habit for the Nagas, and “for that matter even in the mainland the issue is being always provoked by some other elements as the BJP can in no way hurt the sentiments of other citizens as it is itself a secular political party.”
Engineer Longshithung, President, BJP Minority Cell highlighted the achievements of the BJP led government within the three years. Chuphathung Odyuo, senior member of State BJP and an intending candidate from 37 Wokha Assembly Constituency clarified that “people calling the party as anti Christian is totally baseless and therefore should not be misled by such cheap propaganda.”
Zunheboto: The Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan was held at Town Hall, Zunheboto, organized by Indian Oil Corporation with Parliamentary Secretary Jail, Science & Technology, KVIB, Hukavi Zhimomi as the chief guest on June 16.
The Parliamentary Secretary said that North East is rapidly developing in all sectors under Prime Minister led NDA government in the centre and highlighted various schemes initiated and landmark decisions taken by the Prime Minister.
While appreciating the Indian Oil Corporation for organizing the event, he pointed out the shortage of petrol pumps in Zunheboto. There is only one petrol pump in Zunheboto district, which is not sufficient for the whole district, he added. BJP Zunheboto District President, Shikuto Achumi and District Coordinator Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan programme in Zunheboto highlighted the development policy of Government of India.
