Kohima, June 21 (MExN): The incomplete Projects under PMGSY PH VIII, for more than six years, has been "noted seriously" by the National Rural Roads Development Agency under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) which the Implementing Agency of the State is unable to justify. In view of this, the Office of the Chief Engineer PWD (Roads & Bridges) has notified that there will be a conclusive joint meeting of PWD(R&B) Officials and Contractors with the Minister, PWD and Commissioner Secretary, Works & Housing Department to deliberate the impending threat in connection with the 17 on-going projects under PMGSY Phase VIII, on Monday, June from 11:00 am at Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD Conference Hall. The ‘Meeting Notice’ requested all Proprietors of the listed Firms to attend the meeting personally and justify as to why the work could not be completed till date. “Representatives coming on behalf of the Firm/Contractor shall not be entertained,” cautioned the Notice. In the event of any Contractor failing to attend the meeting, the Department will initiate necessary action as per the provisions laid down in the Contract Agreement (Clause 52 of Standard Bidding Document) without further notice.
