Nagaland Chief Secy holds departmental review meeting

Kohima, June 4 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Secretary (CS), J Alam held a departmental review meeting with the staff of the Social Welfare Department and State Resources Centre for Women on June 4 at the Chief Secretary's conference room. The Official presented their role and activities through PowerPoint presentations, a DIPR report stated. 

The CS asked the officials to have proper coordination among themselves, ensure better Governance, set targets, give more focus and walk the extra mile to achieve the desired goal. He added that the Government is giving so many facilities to the citizens, “so your role as an official is to ensure that those facilities should reach the doorsteps of the people.”

He advised the officials to work in coordination with other departments to ensure the development reaches out to common people. The CS emphasized the need to have a banking account number for every citizen and asked the officials to put every head together to find the solution for any problem.

The state resource centre for women since its inception has been actively working to fulfill its mission of carrying forward the mandate of the Ministry of the Women & Child Development (MWCD) Government of India which is to work towards the holistic empowerment of women through inter-sectoral convergence of schemes and programmes of the Government.
