Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship initiates pulpit exchange programme
Kohima, October 16 (MExN): The Senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and also Principal of Kohima Bible College, Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo on Sunday preached about the unity of the Church, to be in one heart and one soul. He exhorted the Church leaders to be in their service through preaching, healing, and deliverance with the Holy Spirit and not rely on their theological degrees alone but to prayerfully minister.
Speaking at the Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church Kohima (SABCK) pulpit exchange programme under Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship (KBPF), he exhorted the believers to lead a life of prayer stated a press release from by Koinonia Media Ministry. Speaking on the importance of prayer, he added that prayerful people do not forget the benefits of God.
Rev Kiewhuo said, ‘When you pray, it connects heaven, and the divine will of God is fulfilled. Where there is prayer, the hand of God is there.’ He elucidated that Jesus Christ has set an example of prayer and fasting right after his baptism, and therefore, encourages the believers to fast and pray.
He reminded the congregation that the call of the Great Commission of God is mission and stated that it should be fulfilled through prayers.
Furthermore, he said prayer has no retirement age, nor is age-bound, and called upon the elders to pray like that of Jacob and Isaac who prayed and fought for the blessing.
The service was led by Aghail T Sheqi, Associate Pastor Youth who also led the Bible marathon. Special songs were sung by SABCK Youth and Rokovinuo Semy, while a testimony was shared by Lanu Aier.
