On the seventh day of their ongoing agitation, the RMSA 2016 batch teachers staged a protest march from the Department of School Education to the Nagaland Civil Secretariat this morning.
Despite intermittent rain, the teachers marched with banners and placards, raising slogans demanding justice and the implementation of court directives on their pay scale. GB Kahuto Chishi, joining the demonstration in solidarity, addressed the teachers, urging them to remain steadfast and assuring that their voices for rightful recognition were being heard. The sit-in protest outside the Secretariat will continue.

The ongoing agitation by the RMSA 2016 batch teachers in Nagaland has drawn mounting support from civil society groups, student bodies, and public organisations across the state, all urging the government to immediately implement court directives on their pay scale.
On Tuesday, organisations including the Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN), Phek District Village Council Chairmen’s Association (PDVCCA), Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA), and Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) separately issued statements backing the teachers and calling the government’s inaction a threat to the stability of the education system and to the future of students across Nagaland.
