Kiphire, April 13 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, accompanied by his wife and a delegation, visited the Lower Tizu area under Pongro sub-division in Kiphire district from April 10 to 13 to inspect the progress of various government development projects.
A DIPR report stated that the four-day visit included an inspection of the Tourist Amenities Centre under construction at Lower Tizu, and a review of road projects including the Lower Tizu road via Moya and the Setsu-Lalori-Phor road.
The delegation also visited Ranyak Khun Cave in Mimi and held an interaction with members of the Mimi Circle Joint Council, during which prospects for future developmental projects were discussed.
The district administration of Kiphire, along with police forces, played a key role in facilitating the visit.
The delegation comprised Deputy Chief Minister and Home and Border Affairs Minister Y Patton; Rural Development and SIRD Minister Metsubo Jamir; Women Resource Development and Horticulture Minister Salhoutuonuo Kruse; School Education and SCERT Advisor Dr Kelhrielhoulie Yhome; Geology and Mining and DUDA Advisor W Chingang Konyak; New and Renewable Energy and NSDMA Advisor Z Nyusietho Nyuthe; Home Guard and Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services, Relief and Rehabilitation Advisor S Kiusumew Yimchunger; MLAs Y M Humtsoe, Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhütso and Benei M Lamthiu; Commissioner and Secretary for Geology and Mining John Kevi Angami; and OSD Geology and Mining Kekhriezavi Lea.
