Kohima, March 31 (MExN): Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton have extended greetings to the Chang, Konyak and Phom communities on the occasion of Küdanglüm, Aoleang and Phom Monyu festivals.
In a social media update, the Chief Minister conveyed greetings to the Phom community on the occasion of Phom Monyu, expressing hope that the celebration would usher in growth, prosperity and joyful reunions, while strengthening familial and community bonds.
Extending greetings to the Chang community on Küdanglüm, CM Rio said the festival, which marks preparation for the new agricultural cycle, may bring a bountiful harvest and inspire collective progress.
He also wished the Konyak community on Aoleang, expressing hope that the festival would bring renewed hope, peace, reconciliation and prosperity.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, in a separate message, noted that festivals are an integral part of Naga tribal communities and are celebrated with great significance.
Greeting the Chang, Konyak and Phom communities, he expressed hope that the sowing festivals would be a harbinger of peace and harmony.
On behalf of the State BJP legislators, Patton further conveyed wishes for prosperity and happiness in the year ahead.
