As 2026 begins, Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio wished the people  good health, peace, and renewed hope in his New Year greetings.

In a message, the Chief Minister said the New Year should open new possibilities and be marked by progress and meaningful achievements.

“As the New Year dawns, may it bring good health, peace, and renewed hope. May the year ahead open new possibilities and be marked by progress and meaningful achievements,” he stated in a message posted on X on New Year’s Eve.

He further wished that the year ahead would be lived with purpose and blessings, extending greetings to all on the occasion of the New Year.

Meanwhile, in his combined Christmas and New Year message issued earlier, Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla described the New Year as an opportune moment to reflect on the collective journey and renew commitment to peace, unity, and inclusive development.

The Governor urged citizens to work together to strengthen social cohesion, uphold Nagaland’s rich cultural heritage, and contribute meaningfully to the State’s progress and prosperity.

Expressing hope for the year ahead, he prayed that the coming year would bring peace to the land, prosperity to the people, and good health and happiness to every household.
