Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated multiple public amenities project undertaken by Tsiituonuomia Khel Council of Kohima village along with the different departments on December 30.

The projects included; inauguration of Water Pump House, Sokhriezie Market and Tsiituo Irrigation Project, Viirie.
A foundation stone for Tsiituo Stadium at Rutsagei was also laid by Chief Minister as well unveiling of monolith for Reiphinyii Badze at T Khel Model Village.

Speaking on the occasion, Rio expressed happiness over the creation of such public amenities and assets and hoped that it would benefit not only the Tsiituonuomia Khel or Kohima village but to the entire citizens of the state capital Kohima.

Rio said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has came out with numerous policy in term of basic infrastructure, education, eradication of poverty, wherein the state of Nagaland too getting a lot of benefit.

Rio stressed on the need to have a competitive attitude to adapt with the fast-changing world.

With the change of lifestyle, he said, there has been competition amongst the states in different areas like, accessibilities, amenities, aesthetics, ecology etc. and grading are given according to the performances.

Assessment are also being carried out on the most beautiful public place, heritage, best place to live, best place to do business etc.

He said that a concerted effort is required to respond to such challenging aspects.

Anything is possible when we put a collective effort, he said.

Kohima Village Council chairman Helievi-o Solo also spoke on the occasion and thanked T. Khel Council for undertaking various development activities for the benefit and interest of the public.

Nagaland’s urban development and municipal affairs advisor Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Nagaland’s technical education and elections advisor Medo Yhokha, MLA Khriehu Liezietsu, MLA Chotisuh Sazo and several other dignitaries also present on the occasion. Rev Kehoulelie Zatsu, pastor CRC Naga Hospital, Atuo Whuorie, pastor Baptist Mission Church, Rev Kevimese Suohu, Sr. Pastor, Nagabazar Baptist Church and Rev. Neikhrienyii C. James, Sr. Pastor, Baptist Mission Church pronounced dedicatory prayer for the projects.

Tsiituo Irrigation Project
 

Earlier, Tsiituonuomia Khel Council chairman, K Neibou Sekhose delivered welcome address and briefed the background the projects. Vireize-ii Solo presented Tsiituonuomia theme song while Thejatshunuo Amelia Sekhose presented a special number. The programme was compered by Kevipfheii Solo and Visasielie Suohu. Vote of thanks was proposed by Tsiituonuomia Khel Council general secretary Thepfuzakie Suohu.
About the projects

Water Pump House: This was constructed by Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services in coordination with T. Khel Council. Alongside the beneficial usage of the project, this facility added beauty to the ambience of Sokhriezie lake.
Sokhriezie Market: This market complex has 436 rooms.

Tsiituo Stadium: Seeing the growing need of sports infrastructure, T. Khel Council has taken decision to construct this stadium of international standard to encourage the youth in sports activities and to host major sports events in the coming days.

Tsiituo Irrigation Project: This project was funded by rural development department with technical support from water resources department and implemented by T. Khel Council. The project has benefitted 104 families.

Children Park at Reiphinyii Badze

Reiphinyii Badze: This Badze has facilities like Futsal, Swimming pool, children park, cafeteria and basketball court.
