Nagaland CM launches 10 new ambulances

State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday visited the designated COVID-19 Hospital in Dimapur during which he launched a total of ten ambulances for government hospitals in various district headquarters.


He also inspected the hospital and expressed satisfaction with the improvement of facilities at the hospital compared to his last visit on April 3. 


Later, the CM held a meeting with the Special Committee COVID-19, Dimapur District Task Force, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and the medical department. He said it was due to the grace of Almighty that Nagaland still has zero COVID-19 cases.


Lauding the efforts of the administration, police, medical and other frontline workers across the state, Rio said that though the state has been identified within the green zone, there should be no complacency in taking all preventive measures. 
The Chief Minister acknowledged the efforts of Minister for Health & Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom and all legislators in the state in the common fight against the pandemic.


He also expressed happiness with the resolved issue of burials for possible COVID-19 victims in Dimapur and Kohima. He assured that the respective government authorities in the districts would be following the Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines for such burial. 


The CM was accompanied by his cabinet colleagues including, S Pangnyu Phom, Metsubo Jamir, Jacob Zhimomi, Chief Secretary Temjen Toy and Advisors Zhaleo Rio, KT Sukhalu and Pukhayi.
