Nagaland: CNC calls for fasting & prayer on September 6

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 4 (MExN): The Council for Nagalim Churches (CNC) has notified all units, battalions, brigades and regional churches under it to conduct a special prayer on September 6 as part of a national fasting and prayer day. A press release from Ikato Chishi Swu, General Secretary, CNC, further appealed to “all denominational churches, prayer groups, prayer warriors and every responsible citizens of Nagalim to do the same on the said day because solution is going to be for everyone.” The CNC said that the “fate and destiny of Naga nation is in the hands of the Almighty God and not in the hands of the colonizers or aggressors.” It added that “Nagas need God’s intervention to let India grant favor to Nagas to achieve their honorable and acceptable Political solution as the political negotiation between NSCN and GoI is inching towards inking the final settlement.” The urgent need of the hour, it stated, “is to pray harder more than ever, to let all the Nagas and especially all its leaders surrender and submit themselves to the will of God and obey His Commands.”
