Nagaland Congress mourns Patel

Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has mourned the passing of Ahmed Patel, Political Secretary to President AICC and Treasurer, AICC, who passed away on November 25.

In a condolence message on Wednesday, NPCC President K Therie stated that a huge vacuum has been created not only in the AICC but also in the political spectrum of the nation.

“He had knowledge of the problems of every state in the nation at his fingertips. We trusted him for his understanding powers as he had always been able to reach down to the smallest issues,” Therie said.

He was one of the greatest political analysts in the nation and truly secular, socialist and democratic in all his actions, Therie said while conveying condolences on behalf of all rank and file of the NPCC.

Meanwhile, the Minority Department, NPCC also issued a separate statement mourning the loss of “A stalwart, a legend, a trouble-shooter, true Congress man.”

“His contribution towards the Congress as well as the nation has been an inspiration to us all. He was a humble politician and visionary administrator who worked hard for the people. A true flag bearer of INC,” the statement read.

It further appealed to all citizens to avoid going to public places unless it is very urgent and maintain social distancing and wear masks properly.
