Dimapur, January 22 (MExN): Saratov State Conservatory, Russian Federation and Nagaland Conservatory of Music, India, have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation and foster long-term collaboration in the fields of music education and cultural exchange.
The MoU establishes a framework for exchange of experience and expertise in educational, methodical, artistic, and scientific spheres. “Through this partnership, both institutions aim to promote mutual learning, academic enrichment, and artistic dialogue between faculty members, researchers, and students,” stated an update received here.
The key areas of cooperation outlined in the agreement include joint academic initiatives, exchange of pedagogical methodologies, collaborative artistic projects, research cooperation, masterclasses, workshops, and participation in concerts, festivals, and scholarly events. The partnership also envisions opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, subject to mutual consent and feasibility.
This collaboration brings together two distinguished institutions with rich musical traditions—Saratov State Conservatory, one of Russia’s leading centres of classical music education, and Nagaland Conservatory of Music, a premier institution in India dedicated to excellence in music education and cultural preservation.
The MoU reflects a shared commitment to strengthening cultural ties between India and Russia through music, scholarship, and artistic collaboration, and marks an important step toward deepening people-to-people and institution-to-institution relations between the two countries.
Saratov State Conservatory, Russia was represented by its Rector, Alexander G Zanorin and Nagaland Conservatory of Music, India was represented by its Chairman, Lipokmar Tzudir.
Both institutions expressed confidence that this partnership will open new avenues for creativity, research, and intercultural understanding, contributing meaningfully to the global exchange of musical knowledge and traditions.
