Nagaland Conservatory of Music wins state’s first Choir Games 2025

The Nagaland Conservatory of Music today won Nagaland Choir Games 2025, held at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima as part of the 26th edition of Hornbill Festival 2025.

Wining the coveted title, Nagaland Conservatory of Music was awarded with Rs 10 lakh.

Cantabile Choir and Harmonic Voices bagged 2nd and 3rd position and received Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh respectively.

Lipokmar Tzudir has been declared as the Best conductor and Celestial Harmonies, Tseminyu as Best Uniform.

Other finalists of the event includes; Tongpu Pur Mokokchung, Tetso College Department of Music, Celestial Harmonies, Tseminyu, The Anchored, Frontier Harmony Collective and The Celestial Voices.
The judges for the competition included Riewbankit Lyndem, Ameü Usou Zao and Mhonroni Lotha.

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer gave away prize to the winners.

This event, Nagaland’s first Choir Games, was a landmark celebration of choral music, culture and community through friendship concert and competitions. The event brought together choirs from across the state to showcase their talent, creativity and passion for choral music.

Earlier, Kithagha Union Baptist Church Choir, Kuzhami Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima choir, Nourhe Khate, Nerhema Baptist Khriesariiii Krotho, Town Baptist Church Choir and Cantamus Choir performed at the friendship concert as part of the Nagaland  Choir  Games 2025.

The event was organised by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) and Nagaland Tourism and managed by Nagaland Choir Games team.
