Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): Nagaland Advisor to Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo called for an immediate investigation into the blacktopping of Chozuba Town Roads.

In a letter to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, the Advisor noted that it had come to his attention that the blacktopping project had compromised on quality and workmanship.

He referred to "photos and videos" circulating on social media platforms, "which further infuriated the general public and drew condemnation to the department and the contractor concerned."

"Surprisingly," he alleged, "the contractor was seen trying to burn nearby grasses with a gas cylinder on Monday morning, after witnessing the social media outrage on Saturday."

Advisor Khamo directed an immediate investigation into the project, with the findings to be submitted for further necessary action in the public interest. The letter was copied to the Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) and Executive Engineer PWD (R & B) Phek for information and necessary action.
