Nagaland: Cornerstone School holds street awareness on tobacco

Zunheboto, September 17 (MExN): No Tobacco Club of Cornerstone School organized street awareness programme on tobacco in Zunheboto town.

The objective was to sensitise people on harmful effects of tobacco use and discourage them from using tobacco products, specially the shopkeepers. Members of the club distributed bookmarks and flyers to the people and shopkeepers from Old Town Colony to AOC, South Point.

It may be mentioned that Cornerstone No Tobacco Club was formed in 2017 with 120 student members and has since then been actively involved in spreading awareness about harmful effects of tobacco not only inside the school campus but also to the various colonies and churches through seminars and outreach programmes.  

The event was organised with the support of the district administration and dental department, District Civil Hospital.
