Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that 77 COVID-19 recoveries were reported in Nagaland on Sunday.
According to Pangnyu’s Twitter update, 76 recoveries were from Dimapur and 1 in Kohima. All recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance, he added.
The total recovery of the state was 3510 as on September 6 as per the Nagaland COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State Health and Welfare Department. Meanwhile, Dimapur once again accounted for majority of the new COVID-19 cases in the daily update with 42 out of 50 cases being from the district. 7 were from Kohima and 1 in Mon.
Contact tracing has been activated by the IDSP Team and all primary contacts have been kept under self isolation, Pangnyu assured.
The total cases of COVID-19 were 4178 as on September 6, while active cases stood at 657. The state has reported 8 deaths till date, and 2 deaths have been classified as ‘not COVID related’.
