Principal Director Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland Dr Vizolie Z Suokhrie, has informed that the department has started micro planning for containment in case of any local transmission of COVID-19.

Addressing a press conference in the state capital on Thursday, Dr Suokhrie said that the department has to plan how best it can contain in case if there is any local transmission anywhere.

“We are working into minute detail. We have started micro planning and we will continue to have our surveillance system,” he said, adding that the department will strengthen the surveillance system so that it does not miss anyone in contact tracing.

He also spoke about the agenda of the department if the lockdown is withdrawn, stating that department will have more micro planning and discuss with the government next week.

“Lockdown is one thing but which areas we want to open first, I think that is going to be very important for us,” he said.
