Nagaland: COVID-19 quarantine souvenir and sermons released

Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): A souvenir book titled Mitsa (Fort) along with E-Spiritual sermons on COVID-19 quarantine ministry published and prepared by the Dimapur Area Ao Baptist Churches and Dimapur Based Ao Civil Societies were released in Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) with a dedicatory prayer pronounced by Rev I Wati, Pastor, DABA on August 22.

The contents of the souvenir include activities and contributions made by the people during the 20 days quarantine period at Dimapur Government College (DGC) and also so many ‘Thank You’ letters and testimonies written by the guests in the three quarantine centers in the DGC. The quarantine centers were managed by the Dimapur Area Ao Baptist Churches and Dimapur Based Ao Civil Societies from June 1 to 20.

A press release stated that “the souvenir was published in memory of the pandemic situation in our time so also to acknowledge the grace of God and generous contributions made by so many thoughtful people in order to collectively contain the COVID-19 pandemic.” It is hoped that this collective effort as a part of participation in COVID-19 war will further encourage people to fight together against diseases and social evils that may threaten our lives in future too.

The E-Sermons were the sermons prayerfully prepared by pastors in respective Ao churches in Dimapur area and delivered electronically to the sons and daughters during the quarantine period. “We have selectively compiled these spiritual sermons both in English and Nagamese so that it may also be useful for other quarantine centers.” The E-sermons on COVID-19 Quarantine Ministry will be available with DABA Associate pastor, Toshi Longkumer free of cost for people who need it.
