Continued reports of recovery of COVID-19 patients have brought some relief for the people in Nagaland. As per official reports, 30 patients have recovered in the state till date.
With this, Nagaland has recorded a recovery rate of 23.07% against a total of 130 cases. 2 samples tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday and the current active tally stands at 100 as on June 11.
All are asymptomatic and the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals.
The COVID-19 positive status report as of 3:00 pm provided by the government stated that 7 patients had recovered on June 11. “7 more patients have tested negative of COVID-19 in their second test. All patients are from Dimapur and are being kept at COVID-19 care centre for observation,’ State Health Minister S Pangnyu tweeted earlier on Thursday.
Meanwhile late in the evening on June 11, Tuensang also reported one more negative test result from the COVID-19 positive patients admitted at the district COVID Hospital, taking the daily tally of recovered cases in the state to 8 for the day.
While 4 others had tested negative on June 10, the Tuensang CMO told this newspaper that the test was conducted for the lone positive patient in the district on June 11.
A press release from the Tuensang DC Kumar Ramnikant informed that the test report of the Chennai returnees was received from the Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang. Subsequent actions are being taken as per the SOP, he added.
The DC told The Morung Express that the patients had tested negative on the second test and further tests and course of action will be decided in the District Task Force meeting.
The district received its first TrueNat machine on June 10, after which the test was carried out the following day.
As of Thursday, the COVID-19 status of Tuensang stood at zero active cases.
Among the recovered patients in the state, 4 are in Chedema, 5 in Tuensang, 2 in NHAK while 19 are in Dimapur.
Till date, a total of 5,365 samples have been tested. Results of 4,087 samples have been received and 1,276 sample results are awaited as per the data provided by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
In the last 14 days 3,680 persons have submitted their self-declaration and till date 6,571 persons have been digitally monitored. 6, 887 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine, according to the briefing on COVID-19 on June 11 by the Principal Secretary, Home.
1,100 returning from Delhi on June 16
Meanwhile, the briefing also informed that a special train will be departing from Delhi to Dimapur on June 14 with around 1,100 stranded people of Nagaland, and the expected date of arrival is June 16.
