Nagaland COVID-19 update: Results for 100 samples awaited

  •  Out of 392 samples sent for testing, 292 negative

  •  61 samples sent on April 18

 

DIMAPUR, APRIL 18 (MExN): 392 samples have been sent for COVID-19 testing from the State as of 6:00 pm of April 18. This includes 61 samples which were sent on April 18.

Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha today informed that results for 292 samples have come back negative, while results for 100 are awaited.

 

As per the daily bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the state has 181 persons housed in various Quarantine Facilities.

 

Adhere to lockdown measures

The Home Commissioner appealed to the people for continued adherence to the lockdown measures and requested everyone to stay at home and come out only if it is unavoidable.

 

“Please abide by all the directives of the District Administration and Police issued from time to time concerning the lockdown and whenever you come outside of your homes for buying food items and essential commodities, please maintain social distancing,” he appealed.

Meanwhile, the Home Commissioner reminded that the Department of Health & Family Welfare in collaboration with All Nagaland Counsellors Association is providing professional counselling services to any person feeling anxious because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
