Tata Steel Foundation CEO Sourav Roy graced the morning session of Cultural Connect at Hornbill Festival 2022 at Kisama on December 8

Debashis Naik, Head, Retail Business, Eastern Region Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited was the honoured guest and Health & Family Welfare, Minister S Pangnyu Phom and Technical Education & Election Medo Yhokha were the host and co-host respectively.

Sumi cultural troupe, Zeliang Cultural troupe, Kuki cultural troupe, Rengma cultural troupe Kachari Dimasa Cultural troupe, Chakhesang cultural troupe, Pochury troupe and Ao cultural troupe performed at the morning session of cultural event.

In evening cultural programme, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), Major General Vikas Lakhera, Sena Medal graced the function as the chief guest while the hosts were Soil & Water Conservation and Geology & Mining, Minister, V Kashiho Sangtam and Treasuries & Accounts and National Highways, Advisor, Dr Longriniken.

The evening cultural programme witnessed cultural performance from Pochury cultural troupe, Angami cultural troupe (Sakhabama), Lotha cultural troupe, Garo cultural troupe, Ao (Dimapur Base), Sumi (Dimapur Base) and Rengma (Kohima Base)

Later, the Department of Youth Resources & Sports organized Tug of War at the Main Arena where Chakhesang Cultural troupe won both the men and women category and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 20,000.

Angami cultural troupe and Pochury cultural troupe came in second in men’s and women’s category respectively and were awarded with Rs 15,000 each.
