Kohima, March 7 (MExN): The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, the Nodal department for promoting and advancing the successful implementation of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) initiative within the State, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with YES Bank and Sellmetric Pvt. Limited on March 7 at the Directorate of Industries & Commerce. 

Open Network For Digital Commerce (ONDC), is a flagship initiative of Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to democratize e-commerce, stated a DIPR report. The primary aim of this tripartite agreement is to collaborate in facilitating digital sales for small businesses, farmers, entrepreneurs, etc., through the ONDC platform, which is a new initiative backed by the Government of India. 

Present at the MoU signing were Commissioner & Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Kekhrievor Kevichusa,  Director, Industries & Commerce, A Temjen Jamir,  Additional Director, Industries & Commerce, Y Lipongse Thongtsar from the department, and Nitin Kuchhal, Executive Vice President, Digital Banking Sales, and Priyanku Sharma, Vice President, Digital Banking Sales, representing YES Bank.
