Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): Dimapur Police has apprehended two persons with guns near Veterinary colony on April 7.
Informing about the arrest and seizure, the Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur in a press release stated that on April 7 at around 2:45 am, Mobile Unit 92 while performing duty at Burma camp area near Police Point, Dimapur heard gunshot towards Veterinary Colony.
The team rushed towards the location of the firing and apprehended two persons namely Nilotho H Yepthomi and Toinalo Aye, both residents of Dimapur, the police informed. The team also seized one .45 ACP pistol and one .45 ACP empty case alongwith a vehicle Ford Eco Sport B/R No. NL07CA 9719 with ignition key and produced at East PS. A case has been registered vide East PS C/No.98/23, the PRO added.
In another incident, on April 3, one person namely Muhibar Rahman (31) was apprehended by SOT Dimapur for possession of suspected “shanflower” and recovered 25 soap cases weighing around 330 grams. A case has been registered at West Police Station vide West PS C/No. 30/23, the police informed.
