The Dimapur Police issued an advisory today via social media cautioning against rumour-mongering. The advisory came in the backdrop of an unverified video clipping, which was circulated on social media, of an incident attributed to have occurred at Burma Camp, Dimapur on March 2.

 

“The public are advised to refrain from circulating unverified videos on the social media especially in connection with an outdated clip of a commotion in Burma Camp area. Needless to mention that such irresponsible activity will attract punitive action under relevant section of law.”

 

The Dimapur Police PRO told The Morung Express that no untoward incident happened in Burma Camp today and the video clip was in no way related to Dimapur.
