PEREN, August 14 (MExN): Minister Health & Family Welfare, P Paiwang Konyak visited the District Hospital, Peren on August 14.

The minister who is currently in Peren district to grace the 77th Independence Day celebration on August 15 visited the district hospital and interacted with the District hospital officials, Peren.  

During the interaction with the hospital officials, Paiwang informed that all district hospitals should upload the details relating to the district hospital in the department website, Press secretary to Minister H&FW stated in a press release.

He opined that the strength of manpower, hospital activities, and availability of medicines, OPD load or any outbreak of diseases should be uploaded in the department website. This he said will help the department to address the issues without delay and avoid lapses between the district hospitals and directorate. 

DH Peren MS, Dr Yartenla pointed out the shortage of doctors and nurses in the hospital to which the minister responded that transfer and rationalisation will take place very soon and that hospitals having shortage of hospitals will be taken care of.

The Minister reminded that OPD load will determine the rationalisation and transfer process and asked the officials to maintain proper record of the patient’s seeking treatment in the district hospital. 

Further the minister informed the officers that as per government’s order, the timing for OPD should be strictly adhered saying no patients should be deprived of health care services due to non-availability of doctors. 

The Minister assured that he along with the department is putting all effort to improve the health delivery system in the state and urged the officials to cooperate with the government accordingly. 

He also informed that a mechanism has been worked out to reach out to all the CMO’s once in a week which he said will be materialised very soon. 

Paiwang was accompanied by senior officers from the directorate of Health and Family Welfare and others. 
Later, he also had a meeting with the CSOs of Peren District.
