Kohima, June 9 (MExN): In compliance with the Government directive, the Department of New & Renewable Energy (DoN&RE), Nagaland has been authorised as the State Nodal Agency (SNA) for all Renewable Energy (RE) projects/works in Nagaland.
As such, in the effort to maintain quality control, guarantee legitimacy, and compliance with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy-approved standard and BIS statutory technical norms. “Thus, reducing the risk of substandard or counterfeit products in technical and quality aspects, and ensuring a standard regulated rate allowed by the Ministry for all Renewable Energy (RE) Power Projects /Works in Nagaland,” the notification stated.
A technical vetting committee has been set up, comprising of members from the Department of New & Renewable Energy with Director, NRE as Chairman, Additional Director, NRE as Secretary, and the following as members- Joint Director, NRE; Deputy Director, NRE; Project Officer, NRE.
