Mon, June 18 (MExN): Mon District Planning & Development Board (DBDP) monthly meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Mon on June 18.
Presiding over the meeting, Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS acknowledged the presence of DPDB Chairman MLA, Mankhao Konyak; Advisor, Treasuries & Accounts and Art & Culture, Konngam Konyak and MLA & SDPB Chairman Tobu, Neiba Konyak.
The house discussed the on the agenda of up gradation of Good Samaritan School, Phomching and forwarded it to higher authority, stated a DIPR report. LADP 2025-26, including Iconic Project, were approved. Police out post at Mopong, construction of road from forest colony to police reserve were deliberately discussed and forwarded to the higher-ups for approval. The members discussed the proposal for review and issue of site permit for GPS Shamnyu Ward, Mon Town for which the district administration was asked to verify the site and also to discuss with the land donor.
A PowerPoint presentation on District Integrated Strategy for HIV & AIDs, DISHA was presented by the CMO’s office. SDO (C) Mon, Ajit Kumar, IAS, gave a brief overview of the Mon Smart Hub. He requested all the departments to participate in Smart Hub Portal for the benefit of all. President Konyak Students’ Union, Temwang Konyak highlighted some problems like, shortage of fire stations, police stations and electricity in the district.
During the meeting, meritorious students of the HSLC & HSSLC from Mon district, who were felicitated and awarded with certificate and cash during the programme.
New members of the board namely, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Aboi, Ex. Hangkum Sao Chang, DAO, (Agriculture), A Temsu Aier, ADC, Aboi M.S Thangpong, Sr. SDEO Mon, Rose Ngullie were introduced and welcomed during the meeting. The officers were encouraged to enjoy while posted in the district and asked to be sincere and responsible in discharging their duties.
Longleng: Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at DPDB Hall, DC Office Longleng on June 18, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W. Manpai Phom.

After lengthy discussion the board recommended and approved the following agendas: Grant in-Aid to Lempong Higher Secondary School Longleng and Chingtok Public School, Chingtok, upgradation of GMS Block Shamkang Ward Longleng to GHS, and registration of Bauting Foundation Society at Alok ward, Tamlu.
The department of Labour presented the departmental activities under Longleng district. The District Land Record office was asked to present their department’s activities in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting ended with vote of thanks from the chairman.
Tseminyu: The monthly DPDB meeting of Tseminyu was held at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu, under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Jwenga Seb on June 18. The chairman welcomed the new DC Tseminyu, Japheth Woch (NCS); Assistant Director Tourism, Daina Achumi; DAO (Agri.) Keneisezo Punyu and Chopenthung Ngullie SDO (NH) to the board members present.

Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the following agenda were deliberated during the meeting. In regards to the dentification of land for Helipad in Tseminyu, the board entrusted SDO (civil), Tsidi Hairi to identify the landowner and submitted the report to the board. The house also discussed regarding District Award for distinguished public service to government employees under Tseminyu District. Change of nomenclature of Zisunyu village to T. Zisunyu village and recognition of Rengmariver village were recommended and forwarded to the higher authority for final approval. Establishment of Employment exchange office in the District was approved and forwarded to the concerned authorities.
Registration of new society ‘Handicapped Union Tseminyu’ was differed to be discussed in the next meeting.
Kiphire: The monthly Kiphire District & Development Board meeting-cum-launching Programme of Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) campaign was held under the Chairmanship of Temsuwati Longkumer NCS, Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Kiphire on June 18.

The board reviewed the last meeting minutes followed by discussion of agendas of the day. Construction of GB's Customary Court at Kiphire and Tribal Hall at Sangphure Village, and registration of society in respect of Lihpihna Foundation were deliberated and forwarded to the Government for final approval and necessary action.
PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Takatemjen Pongen, EAC Kiphire on behalf of the District Administration by Er Konathang N Kyong, EE Kiphire on behalf of PWD (R&B). Office of the Superintendent of Police and Fisheries Department will present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
