The 20 soap boxes of Sunflower (Heroin) seized from the illegal possession of one L Dasou by Excise Narcotic personnel in Dimapur.
Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): In a tip off about illegal transaction of drugs in Supermarket area, the duty party of the Excise Narcotic personnel swung into action and seized 20 soap boxes of Sunflower (Heroin) from the illegal possession of one L Dasou (55 yrs), a resident of Phuba Khuman, Senapati, Manipur.
“The seized contraband drug was recovered from his carry bag,” Katoho Sumi, Dy Commissioner of Excise (NC) said in an update received here.
The accused was immediately arrested and booked under the relevant sections of NDPS Act 1985. The case is now under active investigation. The duty party was led by Atilo Kent AIE, Excise Constables Khumeng, Alice and Kamnei.
“The effort of the duty party is highly commendable for their relentless effort in effecting the seizure in combating the dreaded drugs menace and illegal trafficking,” Dy Commissioner of Excise (NC) stated.
