Nagaland: Expedite requisition of 110 posts to NPSC, ANCSU tells HTE

Kohima, August 26 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has written to the Commissioner & Secretary of the Higher and Technical Education Department with regard to the 110 Assistant Professor posts in the department.

In a press release on August 26, the union’s Vice President Inato Y Chisho and General Secretary Imnameren N Jamir pointed out that on February 21, ANCSU had issued a 40-day ultimatum demanding that the 110 sanctioned posts be requisitioned to the Nagaland Public Service Commission.

However, even after expiry of the ultimatum, “no adequate measures have been taken to address the matters on priority,” it said.

As such, it demanded that the department “immediately expedite the matter without any further delay.”

The ANCSU meanwhile acknowledged the department for setting up the nodal cell for implementing all scholarship schemes and also appointing Principals in district colleges, as demanded by the ANCSU.
