Nagaland extends lockdown till July 15

Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio today informed of the Cabinet’s decision to extend the lockdown in the state till July 15 in view of the increased numbers of positive cases in the state.


This decision, he said was taken based on the report by the medical and home departments as well as the opinions of the various districts, who have recommended for the extension.


Subsequently, Nagaland Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy issued an order informing that all existing guidelines issued on May 4 with regard to the lockdown in all parts of the State will continue to remain operative till July 15. 


In an order issued on June 29, the Chief Secretary stated that relaxations regarding opening of religious places/places of worship for public as issued on June 10 and the June 20 order regarding plying of local taxis and autorickshaws in the border sub divisions shall continue to remain operative in Nagaland till July 15.
