Nagaland Finance dept bid farewell to outgoing officers

Kohima, April 30 (MExN): The Nagaland state Finance department bade farewell to its two outgoing officers, Chubakatila Jamir Additional Secretary, (NSS) and Kekhwezo Kepfo, Joint Secretary (NSS) on April 30 on completion of 35 years of service in a farewell programme organised by the Finance department in the Department’s conference hall.  

Speaking on the occasion, V. Kezo, OSD (General) stated that it was a blessing for the two officers to be retiring in good health. He described Kekhwezo Kepfo as very amenable to work with and an officer who had personal respect for each of his colleagues. Kezo stated that Chubakatila Jamir was a sincere and hard working officer.  

Kikheto Sema, IAS, Secretary, Finance Department stated that the two officers looked unfit to retire as both the officers are still physically and mentally very much in good condition. He stated that in his fond association with Kekhwezo Kepfo who had a long inning of 30 years in Finance Department, he has never heard the officer complain of anything or anyone. He was respectful to both his senior and junior officers. This is a quality that should be emulated by one and all. The Secretary, Finance was appreciative of Chubakatila Jamir for her positive attitude towards work and sincerity. He also added that her admirable qualities are frankness, openness and efficiency.  

R.C Acharjee, Adviser Finance also spoke on the occasion and thanked the two retiring officers for their contributions to the department and wished them well on their retirement.  

The retiring officers also delivered speeches thanking God and expressed gratitude to the department for organizing the farewell programme in their honour. The outgoing officers also thanked the staff for their co-operation and support during the course of their service in Finance Department.  

The programme was chaired by Bodeno S. Colo, Joint Secretary. Presentation was made on behalf of the department and the program concluded after a mass prayer.
