Nagaland Football Reminiscent

Shiyeto Wotsa
President Naga United FC and Convener Dimapur Football League

This short article is not against any Association or organisation but just my opinion on how to take Nagaland Football forward. Looking at the way our Neighbouring states progressing so well in Football, I feel that we don't need to go very far to understand the ground reality. It will be good if the concern Football bodies have a field trip and take first hand information from our Neighbouring states. Apart from Association office bearers it will be good if we can set up  Administrator or CEO and management team who will be available in Football office all the time and make proper project and assessment which will be put up to executive bodies to decide on the feasibility. I understand that the office bearers being from different District it will be difficult for all of them to be available in the office all the time for any course of action but if proper administration and management team is set up with allowance from Association and also supported by State Government then we will start producing not only quality players but Football calendar throughout the year. The Administration from office have to make progress report and submit to the President of Nagaland Football Association at every regular interval and if any result oriented is put on the table then with the prior concern from President and his colleagues be implemented by the Management team. The Administration and his management be available in office to make new task everyday. That seriousness we need at this hour to take Football forward.

To take Football forward we need full time 24/7 proper plan, twice or thrice sitting in a year can never bring positive results. Proper  regulating the club system and player transfering with or without state league can bring out professionality and discipline in club and players. We need to focus lots on grassroot development and make a project of atleast 10 years before to produce quality team. Football is teamwork so we have to focus on whole set of team not on the progress of individuality. State FA need to keep in touch with AIFF regularly on any project or task. Whether AIFF shows interest in our venture or not we need to keep pressurizing them. That's how we pull their interest sooner or later. Once we succeed one or two AIFF given task then we will be in good book and we will start getting importance but as long as we remain dormant then they won't care, they won't come to our state and spoon-feed us, they got other 27 states and 8 union territories to take care off so we need to set up Administrator and Management team from Football field or promoter who can give their full time and be available in the office for day to day implementation work. Some of the members required to make Football everyday affairs are  CEO or Administrator, Project Director, Field Director, Marketing Executive, Office Assistant etc directly working under Nagaland Football Association. And it will be unfair on my part to end this short write up without giving due credits to Nagaland Football Association for all the tremendous and laurels work they have done this far. Whatever I have suggested above is just for full time execution of Football because that's how Football should work in order to progress more.
