Kohima: Nagaland today got another all women post office here at the New Secretariat Complex, Post Office, Kohima. This 2nd all women post office was inaugurated here this morning by Nagaland’s chief secretary Banuo Z. Jamir, IAS. The first all women post office was inaugurated at PR Hill Kohima Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamir challenged women employees to work hard and prove their capability and contribute to the society. She was appreciative of India Post for connecting such offices to the state of Nagaland.
P. K. Swain, CPMG NE Circle, Shillong also delivered short speech while welcome address was delivered by Som Kamei, director of postal services, Nagaland. The function was chaired by Kobounuo Z. Dolf, SPM, New Secretariat Complex SO while vote of thanks was proposed by K.I. Singh, ASPOs, Kohima Sub Division.
Several dignitaries including commissioner Nagaland Temjen Toy, Director General of Police Besesayo Kezo, commissioner and secretary for higher education F.P Solo, commissioner and secretary for art & culture and tourism Himato Zhimomi also present on the occasion.
