Nagaland gets Rs. 131.16 cr additional disaster relief

New Delhi, December 6 (MExN): The Centre on December 6 has approved an additional assistance of Rs. 131.16 crore from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) for Nagaland.  

A High Level Committee meeting in New Delhi chaired by the Union Home Minister approved fund for the state, along with Rs 3048.39 crore to Kerala, and Rs 539.52 crore to Andhra Pradesh – for a cumulative total of Rs 3,719.07 crore.   The meeting was held to consider the additional assistance the three states affected by floods, landslides and cyclone Titli respectively during the recent months, stated an MHA official release via PIB.  

The Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley; Union Minister for Agriculture, Radha Mohan Singh; Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba; and senior officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture were present in the meeting.
