Nagaland gives warm send-off to outgoing Governor Acharya

Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): The outgoing Nagaland Governor PB Acharya today was accorded warm Guard of Honours at various places as he departed from the state on July 26 after the completion of his tenure. 

According to a DIPR report, before his departure from Raj Bhavan Kohima, the Governor was accorded general salute by the House Guard at the courtyard and was seen off by staff members and security personnel of Raj Bhavan in the presence of Ministers CM Chang and Temjen Imna Along; ACS and Development Commissioner Sentiyanger Imchen; Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha; Additional Director General of Police Kohima, R Kikon;  DC Kohima; and SP Kohima.

Later Acharya,  accompanied by his wife Kavita Acharya, left Raj Bhavan and proceeded to Dimapur by road.

Upon their arrival in Dimapur, a Guard of Honour was presented by Nagaland Police at Chümoukedima Police House after which they proceeded to Dimapur Airport. 

At Dimapur Airport, a grand Guard of Honour was accorded to them by 10 IR Zadima. The Nagagenous Choir also presented the song titled, ‘God Be With You Till We Meet Again.’  

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Minister Neiba Kronu and V Kashito Sangtam, Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, Commissioner Nagaland, M Patton, DIG Training Dimapur Aotemsu, DC Dimapur and Commissioner Police Dimapur saw him off from Dimapur Airport, the report added.
