KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 23 (MExN): Nagaland Governor La Ganesan extended his greetings to the Angami community on the occasion of the Sekrenyi Festival, a traditional celebration observed with rituals of renewal and purification.
In a message released from Raj Bhavan, Ganesan highlighted the significance of the festival, describing it as "a time of renewal, purification, and the reaffirmation of unity and kinship." He expressed hope that the celebration would not only strengthen bonds within the Angami community but also foster harmony with the diverse cultures of the state.
“May this festival bring renewed vigor to your hearts, inspire greater unity, and illuminate the path for a future filled with peace and prosperity,” Ganesan said.
Sekrenyi, an important festival for the Angami Nagas, is marked by traditional ceremonies, feasting, and community gatherings that emphasize social unity and cultural pride.
