KOHIMA, JUNE 20 (MExN): On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, Nagaland Governor La Ganesan extended warm greetings and good wishes to the people of the state.
In his message, the Governor said the day, celebrated globally on June 21, serves as a reminder of yoga’s timeless ability to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit.
“Originating in ancient India, yoga transcends boundaries and cultures, offering a universal path to holistic well-being, inner peace, and resilience,” he stated.
In today’s fast-paced world, the practice of yoga is more relevant than ever, the Governor noted, adding that it is a valuable tool to combat stress, enhance physical vitality, and cultivate mental clarity.
“As we navigate daily challenges, embracing yoga will empower us to lead healthier, more balanced, and harmonious lives,” he said.
Calling on citizens from all walks of life—students, professionals, farmers, community leaders, and families—to observe the day meaningfully, the Governor encouraged people to experience yoga’s transformative benefits and reaffirm their commitment to a healthier society.
He further highlighted yoga’s potential to foster unity, tolerance, and collective well-being—values deeply cherished in Naga society.
“By integrating yoga into our daily routines, we invest not only in our personal health but also in the vitality and harmony of our beautiful state,” Ganesan said.
