Nagaland government enhances upper age limit for govt service

KOHIMA, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has officially increased the upper age limit for entry into government service, superseding all previous notifications and office memoranda regarding prescribed age limits. An office memorandum issued by Chief Secretary Dr. J Alam detailed the new age limits for various government job grades.

For Group D positions, the minimum age has been set at 18 years, with a maximum age of 32 years. For Group A, B, and C positions, the minimum age is 21 years, also with a maximum age of 32 years. Additionally, the memorandum outlined specific age relaxations. Scheduled Tribes (ST) will receive a 5-year relaxation, raising the upper age limit to 37 years. For current government employees, the relaxation will equal the number of years served, up to a maximum of 5 years. These changes come into effect from October 9, the memorandum stated.
