Nagaland Government freezes DA and DR of employees

Kohima, April 28 (MExN): The State Government today informed that the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to state government employees and pensioners respectively due from January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021 shall not be paid. However, they shall continue to be paid at the current rates till further order.


This is in line with the decision of the Government of India issued vide Ministry of Finance Office Memorandum No.1/1/2929-E-II (B) dated April 23, a DIPR report stated.


Accordingly, as and when a decision is taken by the Government of India to release the future installment of Dearness Allowances due from July 1, 2021, the deferred enhancements of Dearness Allowances shall be prospectively restored and incorporated into the rate of July 2021 without arrears as specified in the April 13 OM, it said.
