Nagaland Government revises SOP

  • Mandatory 14 days institutional quarantine for returnees
  • Mandatory 28 days home quarantine for elderly, children, pregnant women

 

Kohima, May 18 (MExN): Nagaland Government on May 18 modified the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for persons entering the state, making it mandatory for returnees to undergo 14 days mandatory institutional quarantine.

 

 

According to an order issued by Nagaland Chief Secretary, those entering the state from May 18 onwards will have to undergo mandatory 14 days institutional quarantine at designated centres followed by 14 days mandatory Home Quarantine.

 

 

For persons above the age of 60 years, children below the age of 10 and their parents and pregnant women and accompanying spouse, thorough screening will be conducted by the Medical Team at the Quarantine Centre after which they will be sent for 28 days mandatory home quarantine.

 

 

In the case of persons who arrived before May 18, the new SOP will not apply for those who came from Green/Orange zones and have not crossed Red Zones en route to the state.

 

 

All other provisions of the SOP issued on May 14 shall continue to be in effect, the order stated.
